Your photos
Photos go straight from your iPhone to the Mac you paired, over your own local network or your own Tailscale network. The connection is encrypted with a key that only your two devices share. Photos never pass through us or anyone else.
Before sending, the app re-encodes each photo and removes its metadata, including location.
On the Mac, received photos are kept in a folder you choose, with a history of the last 50. You can delete them at any time.
Permissions
- Camera: to take photos and to scan your Mac's pairing code.
- Photos (add only): to save photos you take, if you turn on Save to Photos.
- Local network: to find your Mac and send photos to it.
You can turn any of these off in Settings.
Pairing
Pairing keys are stored in the Keychain on each device. Removing a device in the app deletes its key.
